Join us and help us work towards our vision of a world without poverty.Role overview To provide strategic direction and leadership for the development of the ICS Programme within VSO’s wider country and global strategies.To manage the development and delivery of, and learning from, the portfolio of ICS projects.Skills, qualifications and experience Skills, Knowledge and Experience required;Programme development Knowledge and experience of pro-poor programme and partnership development.
Project management Proven experience in delivering and reporting on complex projects to time and budget.
Supervision and support Line management experience with good coaching skills. Experience of managing at a distance.
Duty of care Experience of assessing potential safeguarding, security and health risks and putting in place mitigating actions and managing complex incidents.
Youth work Substantial experience of working with young people from diverse backgrounds.
Cross-cultural working Direct and substantial experience of working with other cultures and nationalities.
Communication Strong skills in diplomacy and negotiation.Experience of communicating effectively with wide range of stakeholders.Strong verbal and written English language skills.
Out of hours working The post holder will be required to hold the emergency phone outside of normal working hours, on a rota basis.
